The wedding of Tracy and Paul at The Barns at Hunsbury Hill in Northampton was held a couple of weeks back at the beginning of June. We had the pre wedding session there in the autumn so I knew the best locations for the photography on the day.

Tracy had her bridal prep at the Hilton in Northampton which was only a 15 minute drive from the venue. I got there in the morning to photograph Kerry Anne doing Tracy’s hair, while Keira from Belle Beautique was doing the bridal party make up.

I stayed at the Hilton with the girls for a hour before making my way to meet Paul and his groomsmen at The Barns at Hunsbury Hill. The barn itself had been decorated with beautiful flowers from Jack Haddon, which matched perfectly with the bride’s bouquet and the bridesmaids little baskets of posies.

Tracy, her dad and the older bridesmaids arrived on time in a beautiful split screen VW campervan from Silk and Satin.

I was very excited to be invited to have a drive out with the Bride and groom after the ceremony to take some photos down by the canal. A little bonus to the photography and not something I get to do at every wedding.

Tracy and Pauls wedding was very relaxed and with the weather being so lovely the majority of time was spent outside in the grounds. There were hoppers and games for the kids and an outdoor bar for the adults.

One of the highlights of the day was when the bridesmaids took the bride for a spin in the grooms wedding car, a lovely shiny Mustang. Not sure the groom and his best man saw the funny side, but us girls had a giggle.

Even the food was relaxed with the menu being a buffet ploughman’s style and then a cream tea desert. The evening was a poplur choice at the moment of a hog roast. My favourite!

I wish Tracy and Paul all the best for the future.

Until next time!
