Crockwell Farm wedding venue is a working arable and sheep farm in the middle of the countryside.

Nestled between Cannons Ashby and Eydon, it has stunning views across the rolling Northamptonshire hills.

When Cheryl and Lee originally met me there for their pre-wedding session, it was a cold grey winters day. It was hard then to visualise the location in bloom.

Therefore, we met again the week before the wedding so I could see the true beauty of the location.

On the day, Cheryl got ready in the Honeymoon Cottage which is situated above the ceremony barn.

This was fabulous for photos. Especially as the rain poured down, the roll top bath and bed provided great backdrops.

The ceremony was to take place in a local church, meaning the barn below was also free for photographs.

Regardless of the rain Cheryl looked stunning in her Mori Lee dress, the weather just didn’t faze her at all!

Her make up by Holly Dack who works for her at Tranquillity Nails in Towcester looked perfect. As did her hair by Sophie Barrett.

Lee and his groomsmen got ready at home and arrived at church in a Double Decker bus. I can only imagine the fun they must have had!

To say it rained on the morning was an understatement.

However, once we came out the church the rain stopped, and we had some fabulous dramatic skies for the reception.

The bus took the guests to Crockwell Farm, where they got to relax while the Bride and Groom stopped for a pint at a local pub.

This was a great idea as it isn’t often you get time to yourselves on your wedding day.

Dinner and speeches went smoothly in the Grain Barn. Then at the end of the day there was one extra surprise for the guests

An original workshop has been converted into a curtained, star ceiling dance floor. I must admit I have never seen another quite like it.

It was a great day for a lovely couple, I wish Cheryl and Lee all the best for their future together.

Until next time!
