My return to Dodmoor House Wedding Venue in Northamptonshire, for Steph and Mitch’s wedding last November was lovely. I was only there 10 months ago to photograph Sammy and Jamie, so felt like I was getting to know the place well and had a better idea for wedding photography. I had also done a pre-wedding session with Steph and Mitch, who had already chosen some of their favourite locations for the big day.
The wedding was made easier for me by the fact I already knew half of the bridal party, guests and Charlotte Chartell who was in charge of Make up and hair on the day. It is always lovely to see the same suppliers at different weddings, especially when you get on well with them!
Steph looked amazing in her Mori Lee dress which suited her petite frame very well. Her bouquet, made by Au Fay Flowers had the loveliest pink roses in, which complimented the colour of the bridesmaid’s dresses. Being a barn venue Steph had gone for a simple uncluttered theme and was more about sparkle, fairy lights, and candles for the night time photography.
However, no one could of expected that my favourite image of the day would not come from one of their chosen locations, or the pretty night time sparkles, but the stunning sunset that graced the end of their day. This was the icing on the cake and I’m glad I dragged them out when I did.
Thank you for sharing your special day with me.
Until next time!
