This outdoor garden party themed wedding was held in the beautiful Northamptonshire village of Gayton. Home to Peters parents, they welcomed family, friends and myself into their garden with open arms, literally, open arms! Peters father was the first person I bumped into once I arrived and got greeted with a lovely hug as I got out of the car. I awkwardly explained I was “only the photographer” but this still earned a hug and an offer of bubbles, the latter was obviously declined.
The weather was beautiful for the ceremony, held at the church next door. The gardeners had arranged a sunflower and gypsophillia arch through the doorway to the churchyard which looked stunning. The grounds of the house held ample opportunities for creative photography and the inside bore a great staircase and character sash windows.
As we all know, I do love my staircases and this one showed off Nikki’s beautiful dress by Allure when we spread out the train behind her. Unfortunately, the heavens opened later that afternoon, but thankfully not before the group photos and Creative photos had been taken. The large marquee did a grand job of keeping everyone dry and the atmosphere inside certainly wasn’t dampened by the rain.
I wish Nikki and Peter all the best in their future together…
Until next time!
