This was my first time at The Great Barn, Aynho and what a lovely wedding venue it is. I met Gillian and Adam there a week last Sunday for their pre-wedding shoot, so we could scout around for the best locations for their upcoming wedding this August.
The grounds to The Great Barn are vast and we attempted to find the main feature, the bridge by the lake. However, with the temperature only being a chilly three degrees and getting caught in a freak snow shower we gave up and decided I would have to view it online instead. It is hard to imagine any venue in the Summer when your stood shivering in the snow, but the photos online look lovely and I’m looking forward to seeing it in all its beauty.
We did manage a quick sneak peek inside which was just as beautiful, with the high ceilings and lovely stonework. The doors onto the terrace are draped in wisteria in Spring time and I’m a little gutted that the flowers will be gone by August, but I am sure we will find other floral fancies around the grounds.
I find my pre-wedding sessions invaluable is it always helps us suss out any potential issues beforehand and gives us plenty of time to rectify any problems. Gillian and Adam have received their mini gallery and will choose their favourite shots, saving us time and stress on the day which means they will have more time to spend with their friends and family.
