This was my first wedding at Kettering Park Hotel Northampton and thankfully, the weather gods looked down on us. Vicky and Tom had hoped to have their wedding in the beautiful wooden gazebo in the gardens of the venue. With the weather being awful so far this year, it was touch and go whether that was going to be possible and even the morning of the wedding it was a last-minute decision.
When I arrived Vicky and her bridal party were in the process of having their hair done by Chloe Elisa and makeup by Laura. The room was looking a touch cluttered and being the OCD freak that I am, I suggested she got into her beautiful dress in the bridal suite, which was fresh and free from any bags.
Thankfully with the sun shining and it being pleasantly warm, the ceremony took place as requested in the garden. This was the perfect place to let all the little ones run free afterwards and let off some steam. The pond was a definite favourite with them and kept their attention the whole afternoon, this was a great addition to the grounds at Kettering Park Hotel and the couples wedding photographs.
Once the sun went down the party moved upstairs into one of the rooms, where the DJ from Dave Andrews Entertainment had set up in the corner and the huge LOVE letters from Little Wishes shone bright. The flowers by Arrangement Florist had been bought up from downstairs and placed on the tables with some scattered gem stones, which finished the settings off nicely.
Vicky looked lovely in her wedding dress from Anna Sorrano and although this was one of the smallest weddings I have covered, it was a pleasure to photograph. All the little details had been put together beautifully and watching the kids have so much fun was great. I know a lot of people these days debate whether to invite children, but to me they bring families and friends together.
I wish Vicky and Tom all the best for the future.
Until next time!
