I was back at Kilworth House Hotel for the wedding of Jade and Darren in the summer.
It feels like a lifetime ago now but my favourite venue did not disappoint.
Jade got ready in one of the suites at Kilworth House which was beautiful.
Packed full of great features like a four poster bed, a roll top bath, mirrors and lovely windows looking over the grounds.
I had a second photographer with me for half the day, so I got to stay with Jade all morning.
She looked amazing in her dress from Silver Sixpence at the heart of the shires and I really enjoyed watching the bridal prep unfold.
Jade and her bridal party were picked up to go to church in a couple of stunning cars from Classic Carriages Northampton.
Apparently the bridal car, a 1936 Vintage Rolls Royce Windover Limousine is very rare indeed.
The ceremony was held at St Botolph’s in Church Brampton Northampton, about a half hour drive from Kilworth house Hotel.
It always makes for an interesting drive when you have to try to overtake the wedding cars.
After the ceremony I did the confetti shot and a couple of group shots at the church, before we headed back to Kilworth and canapés on the terrace.
The weather had been very bright and sunny all morning but as the group shots drew closer the cloud came over.
By the time the wedding breakfast was served we were in the middle of a huge storm.
I must admit I did start to panic about the bride and groom creative shots.
But as if by magic the rain stopped bang on time and produced the most amazing rainbow!
We also got the chance to be driven down to the theatre bridge thanks to Kilworth’s amazing staff.
Unfortunately, it is just a bit too far to walk, especially with the very soggy ground after the rain.
That evening I photographed the amazing magician Lewis Joss who kept the guests entertained.
Then first dance where the groomsmen did a fantastic rendition of “You’ve lost that loving feeling.”
What lovely memories for Jade and Darren to treasure for many years to come.
I very much look forward to designing an album for them once they have chosen their favourite photographs.
Best wishes to the happy couple and thank you so much for letting me play such a big part on your special day.
