Sally and Grahams part day wedding photography collection was taken at Delapre Abbey in Northampton.
It was the first wedding I have covered here. However, I have spent many summer days enjoying picnics with my children in the gardens.
Sally and Graham chose a part day wedding photography collection, as it was going to be an informal small gathering.
For a part day collection, I do suggest 3-4 hours.
This will cover an hour before the ceremony to capture the venue, groom, groomsmen and bride arrival.
A civil ceremony and confetti shot will normally take around an hour.
Then we have 1-2 hours for me to do your group shots, bride and groom creative shots and some candid’s.
We managed to get everything Sally and Graham wanted into just three hours, as their meal was booked early.
As you can see from Sally and Grahams images below, they have plenty of lovely ones to choose from.
Please remember when booking your wedding photographer, quality is better than quantity.
If you are on a budget, then it may be wiser to book 3 hours of award-winning photography for £450. Rather than risk full day coverage with a cheap photographer for £500.
With digital cameras being so accessible now, there are many people looking to earn a quick buck at your expense.
I can assure you £500 for a full day’s photography isn’t a viable business plan, and that important factors could be missed.
If you are looking for a professional wedding photographer, please make sure:
- That they are fully insured
- They’ve had some form of training
- They have at least two camera bodies and various lenses as back up (in case of failure)
- The cameras have duel memory card slots (in case one card corrupts)?
- They have offered you to view a fully recent gallery (some use paid stock images for social media)
- You have met up to discuss your requirements, do you get on?
- You’ve been offered a contract to sign and asked to pay a deposit
We see it time and time again now in the press of bride and grooms complaining that they have been conned.
Do not let it happen to you!
Although Sally and Graham only wanted part day wedding photography coverage, they knew how important it was to hire someone who could fulfill their requirements properly.
Their day was special, and they wanted that recording in the best possible way.
I wish them all the best for their future together
Until next time!
