The wedding of Kim and Peter was held at The Walnut Tree Inn, Blisworth. They had only chosen a small gathering of only 45 guests and only wanted a few hours photography coverage for their day.
I met Peter and his groomsmen after I had had a wander around the venue taking photos of the little wedding details. I always try to get shots of the room, cake and flowers before anyone else turns up and I can have a clear view.
Kim had chosen Sweet Williams Florist to do the bouquets and flowers for the big day and her Nan made the lovely cake.
As I was only there for four hours so I didn’t photograph the bridal preparations, but Charlotte Chartell made a lovely job of Kim’s hair and makeup. The style very much suited Kim’s dress made by Maggie Sottero.
Once the ceremony had taken place we went outside for the confetti shot and guest photos. The outdoor space at The Walnut Tree was quite limiting, so Kim and I had decided to do the Bride and Groom portraits at the local canal at Stoke Bruene.
Just like the last wedding of Tracy and Paul, it was lovely to be able to go somewhere a bit different to do the creative shot and Kim’s aunt was very patient driving us and waiting while we went for a little walk.
I must admit I wasn’t expecting Stoke Bruene to be quite as busy as it was. But after starting off quite intimidated, Kim felt quickly felt at ease when the groups of boating tourists shouted their kind words of congratulations.
After our little jaunt to the canal, we drove back to do a fake cake cut and I then stayed to get Kim and Peter being announced to dinner before calling it a day.
I wish Kim and Peter all the best for the future.
Until next time!
